Admittedly, it's Packed with Nonsense, Extreme Hosting and Psychobabble. However, I Honestly Love Meghan's Festive Episode.

No considering the season, it's perpetually fair game for commentary on the Duchess of Sussex's televisual offering, With Love, Meghan. Commentators, both professional and armchair, have rarely been so united as when enthusiastically shredding the lifestyle show's first and second seasons to pieces. The prevailing view seemed to be a greater royal outrage had hardly ever taken place than the notorious pretzel re-packaging incident.

Presently, as a festive rebel, she makes a comeback once again with a "Christmas Special" (also known as a yuletide episode). But this time, it's different. The standard components audiences anticipate – vague self-help platitudes, intense hospitality – remain, but framed of a yuletide episode, it all clicks into place. The pieces have fallen into place; it's a flawless festive blizzard.

Now, Meghan has become the eccentric aunt at most festive family gatherings – offering unsolicited, unnecessary advice, and delivering the odd random outburst. ("I love spinach!" … "A tradition has to have a beginning." … "A tree is part of my memory and love of the holiday season.") She's an interesting figure, but her aura is known and unexpectedly soothing. And she looks content; she's causing a bit of damage.

She is aware her all subtle gestures, syllable and look will be picked apart and criticised, but nonetheless looks carefree and too blessed to be stressed.

Maybe this is the first occasion in history where that old chestnut – "Don't listen, it's pure jealousy" – could actually be true. Since, in all honesty, everything in Meghan's Holiday Celebration honestly feels charming. Yes, it's all awkwardly over-the-top, foolishness and over the top – but doesn't that represent exactly what the holiday season is all about? And the words she speaks might be ridiculous, but the walk she's walking seems authentically impeccably styled.

Whatever she sets her mind to, she accomplishes with flair. Her culinary efforts looks delicious, the wreath she creates is gorgeous, her gifts are nearly too beautiful to unwrap. Nothing is mediocre or aesthetically displeasing – even the way she secures her apron is artful and chic. She doesn't toss a meal in the microwave, it "has a moment", and she wraps wrapping paper like an origami guru. She also seems to be completely savoring herself from start to finish. How could any hate-watcher not be convinced, overcome by holiday spirit and left with a intense desire for crafted festive snaps or a vegetable display where greens is organized in the form of a festive circle?

Meghan had a career in acting for a living, obviously, but despite that, after the degree of attention she has faced since she met Prince Harry, even a hypothetical offspring of two legendary actresses would find it hard to appear this genuinely. Her refusal to change or even soften her routine, regardless of it being so constantly, globally mocked, is strangely reassuring. In our uncertain world, here is one thing we can count on: Meghan will remain herself, no matter what. We will forever know what to expect with her.

If you're still not buying what she's selling, a thought that will surely come as a relief: you don't have to. There isn't the draft these days, and were it to return, it would be improbable to include streaming With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration. If, however, you decide to tune in and are gripped with longing about her idyllic Christmas, all is not lost either. If you are a duchess or a data administrator, hardly any child truly appreciates the dedication and labor their mother expends in December. So you can take heart by imagining the young royals' faces when they open a handwritten message that says, 'I love you because you are brave,' from a handcrafted holiday countdown, instead of a chocolate.
