Dan Burn A nuisance from dead balls, as always, but may be an alternative for Stones in defense as opposed to paired with him. One wayward pass later in the match nearly resulted in an opener from the visitors. Six
The young full-back One more assured display from the youngster following his debut against another side. Saka failed to make the most of a clever flick behind the opposing backline. The role looks secure already. 7/10
Adam Wharton His first start with the national team. Somewhat sloppy on the ball though his dangerous deliveries were a threat. A handy pace-controller available to the boss to have against sides that sit back. Shown a yellow for a poorly timed foul. 6
Declan Rice Crosses from dead balls and free kicks caused problems. Enjoyed room to drift down the left flank only to be in an offside position upon receiving with a chance to score. Given a well-earned rest after an hour. 6/10
The star midfielder Functioned in a high position down the right and also put in defensive duties. Displayed moments of class but mishit a shot high. Replaced in the closing stages for Rogers, his rival, after being booked. 7
Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s top opening of the first half, his shot excellently kept out from the Albanian keeper. With a teammate holding position, he was forced to offer an outlet down the right side although his balls from the touchline were hit and miss. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6
The captain The difference-maker with his 77th and 78th finishes for his country. The opener a classic opportunist's goal and his next an excellent headed goal following a clever run away from the opposition. Now 32, he’s only getting better with the national team stand a real opportunity in future competitions with him leading the line. 8
The attacker Struggled to influence play from the left. Had a decent opportunity when set up from a teammate yet Strakosha denied him. His replacement produced a bigger influence when substituted. 5/10
